Acoustic Wooden Guitar for Children

A child's guitar that really sounds like one

Many toy guitars stop at buttons and recorded tunes. Here, the sound comes from the strings and the wooden soundbox: your child plucks a string, feels it buzz under the fingers and hears the note carry. Strumming all the strings at once gives a full, warm chord, plucking them one by one becomes a little tune.

To begin, tune it together and show just two things: a slow strum with the thumb, then a single string plucked with one finger. Singing a nursery rhyme while your child keeps the rhythm is often enough to make the guitar their favourite.

What a 5-year-old learns on it

At 5, most children start by strumming and making up songs. As fingers get stronger, they press a string against the neck and discover that the note changes. Turning a peg shows the same thing in another way: tighter is higher, looser is lower. This children's toy guitar makes a gentle first step before lessons on a full junior guitar.

Which size will you receive?

The colour is chosen at random, and the size follows the colour: the white and red version measures 53 x 17 cm, the blue version 63 x 22 x 6.5 cm. Either one sits comfortably on a child's lap.

To build a small family band, the wooden harmonica and the tambourine sit well alongside it, and you will find more Montessori wooden toys for little musicians in our shop.
