Montessori method

The different ways to use the color box are:

1. Name the colors: The child names the color lying on the tablet.
2. Identify colors by shade: "Is this that you can show the lightest green? "
3. Identify by name: The adult shows a tablet and the child names the color on the tablet, specifying whether the shade of the tablet is dark or light.
4. Make a connection with everyday life: The child names everyday objects of the same color as the color he comes from 'learn (color of clothes, objects, etc).
5. Combine color mixes : Knowing how to associate the 2 (or 3) necessary colors in order to form another color. Example: Orange = Yellow + Red.
6. Introduce and introductions of colors with its 7 shades: If the child has visual discrimination difficulties do not present only three shelves: the darkest, the lightest and the intermediate.
   Example of presentation without language: Always start with blue. Take out the shelves one at a time, starting at one end and grabbing them by the edges. 9. Learning superlatives and comparatives: By analyzing the nuances of the tablets, the child will be able to introduce into his vocabulary " darker ”,“ lighter ”,“ just darker ”or even“ just lighter ”.
10. Pairing and relationship with the environment: The adult can take a tablet and ask the child to find the same color around him.
